Uptown History
Uptown has had steady growth and continued prosperity since it opened as a used car dealer in 1946. Irv and Ray Pentler, along with William Lutter, started Uptown after returning from World War II, at 57th and Center Street. In 1955, Uptown started as a Lincoln Mercury Dealer at 6734 W. North Avenue. Sales and service continued to grow until the previous location could not fulfill their needs. In 1966, Irv and Ray Pentler moved the Lincoln Mercury Ford Franchise to its present location at 2111 North Mayfair Road. In 1978, Glenn Pentler Joined the Uptown Team. In 1991, Uptown also expanded in the Washington County area. Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge,and Jeep were added to complete the lineup.

Uptown has ranked consistently among the leading dealers in the State of Wisconsin. Uptown Lincoln Ford has been and still is, one of the top 100 dealers in the US for excellence in the sales and service experience attaining premier status. In 2002, Uptown Chevrolet was the fastest growing chevy dealer in the entire state of Wisconsin. Our Chevrolet store has received the "Mark of Excellence" award from General Motors for excellence in the sales and service experience. Our Chrysler store has been 5 Star certified for the last 6 years. All of our dealerships have a genuine and sincere interest in exceeding customer expectations.
